Our Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story, begins!!!

We don’t have set times for any activities or events, so you have plenty of chances to stop in and participate!!

We have dinosaur adoptions this week along with dinosaur identification!

Stop in to learn your dinosaur name!!

Storytime is on Friday, 10:00-11:00, ages 0-4. We’ll be reading “If the Dinosaurs Came Back” and participating in plenty of dino themed learning.

Books Galore Book Club met this past Thursday night to discuss “Maybe You Should Talk to Someone” by Lori Gottlieb. It was a nonfiction selection in which the author used her career as a therapist to explain the role of a therapist. She used many examples of situations that a therapist can help patients work through and solve. She also reveals her own use of a therapist and the fact that most therapists see a therapist of their own. Some patients that Gottlieb discussed were very sad cases and others very exasperating! However, the names were all "changed to protect the innocent."

In tallying votes, both present and absentee:
10 members really liked the book,
10 just thought it was OK,
Only 1 disliked it.

The book for June reading is Fredrik Backman's “Anxious People.” We will discuss this book at July's meeting which will be held on July 2nd at 5:30.

Also turn in your book suggestions for the next year in before July 15th, so we can complete the new list. We have several suggestions already, but welcome more!!
