4pm, March 13, 2026: Here is the latest on the upcoming major winter storm this weekend. Current trends favor heaviest snows across far northern lower and eastern upper. Significant amounts of wintry mix (sleet, icing) on the table for northern lower. More details to come as clearer data is ingested regarding this system.

03/14/2026

A potent winter storm system is expected to impact our area Sunday into Monday, with potential hazards including rain, snow, ice, and strong winds. Residents are advised to limit travel to essential trips only. If you do need to venture out, please carry emergency supplies such as blankets, water, and a communication device. Emergency response teams will be on duty, though response times may be affected by weather conditions. In the event of a downed power line, exercise extreme caution; do not approach the line and call 911. When using generators during power outages, place them outside to avoid deadly carbon monoxide gas. Neighbors, especially the elderly and those in need, would appreciate your check-in during this weather event.
