May 1st 2026 – The Fountain Hill Police Department was dispatched to a report of harassment of a borough resident. The victim believed that an unknown individual was following her and that she believed a tracking device had been placed on her vehicle. The victim’s cellphone was receiving alerts which indicated that an unknown tracking device was traveling with her vehicle. The tracking device was located and removed from the vehicle by Fountain Hill police officers. An investigation was conducted into the owner of the tracking device who was later identified and charged with one count of criminal harassment.
May 3rd 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted on Sioux Street of a vehicle whose operator had a suspended operating privilege. While the officer was speaking with the vehicle’s operator it was suspected that the operator was under the influence of alcohol and was driving with a minor in the vehicle. The operator was taken to the Lehigh County DUI Center where it was determined that his blood alcohol concentration was .11%.
May 5th 2026 – The Fountain Hill Police Department was dispatched to 701 Ostrum Street for an intoxicated male. The male was located and stated that he drank three cups of vodka earlier in the day. He was unsteady on his feet and could not stand without assistance. The male was charged with public drunkenness.
May 5th 2026 – The Fountain Hill Police Department was dispatched to the area of Broadway and S. Bergen Street to check the welfare of a male who was reportedly acting crazy, scaring people and trying to open car doors. The male was located and determined to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He provided a preliminary breath sample of .15% and he was charged with public drunkenness.
May 5th 2026 – The Fountain Hill Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue for a motor vehicle accident. The offending vehicle had left the scene and failed to provide information or render aid as required. An investigation was conducted and the offending vehicle and operator was identified. The male operator’s driving privilege was suspended due to a prior DUI violation. The vehicle that he was driving displayed counterfeit certificates of inspection and emissions. The operator was charged with possessing counterfeit certificates of inspection, violation of the habitual offender statute, hit and run of attended vehicle, violating his duty to give information and render aid, driving while operating privilege is suspended DUI related, violating the stop sign and inspection violations.
May 7th 2026 – The Fountain Hill Police Department were dispatched to an assault. The suspect was identified as a juvenile. It was determined that the suspect had caused multiple injuries to the victim’s face, head, neck and body and displayed signs of a concussion. The suspect was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
May 8th 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted on Delaware Avenue of a speeding vehicle which was swerving towards parked vehicles. While speaking with the operator burnt ma*****na was being emitted from his person. The vehicle operator submitted to field sobriety testing where based upon the performance of the field tests it was determined he was under the influence of ma*****na to the degree that he was incapable of safe driving. Toxicology pending and charges have not been filed.
May 10th 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted of a vehicle which had struck the curb and was swerving while traveling west on Broadway. When officers spoke with the vehicle’s operator it was immediately apparent that they were under the influence of alcohol. The operator was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center where their blood alcohol concentration was .20%. The vehicle operator was charged with DUI highest tier.
May 16th 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted of a vehicle who traveled through the red light at the intersection of Broadway and Delaware Avenue. The operator displayed signs of being intoxicated and submitted to field sobriety testing. Based on her test performance it was determined she was under the influence to the degree that she was incapable of safe driving. The vehicle operator was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center where toxicology and charges are pending.
May 17th 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted of a vehicle with an expired registration. While speaking with the vehicle operator he displayed signs of intoxication. In the vehicle’s cup holder, a THC vaporizer was observed and the operator admitted to smoking it while driving. The operator submitted to field sobriety tests based on the performance of the tests it was determined he was under the influence to the degree that he was incapable of safe driving. The operator was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center where toxicology and charges are pending.
May 17th 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted of a vehicle which failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Bergen Street and Delaware Avenue. While speaking with the vehicle’s operator signs of narcotic intoxication were observed. The operator submitted to field sobriety testing where it was determined that he was under the influence to the degree that he was incapable of safe driving. A driving record was obtained which indicated that the operator’s driving privilege was suspended from a prior DUI violation. The operator was transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center where toxicology and charges are pending.
May 19th 2026- The Fountain Hill Police Department was dispatched to the 1400 block of Sioux Street for a theft from a motor vehicle. It was determined that the victim’s wallet which contained $200 in cash, driver’s license, debit cards and $80 in gift cards were stolen. The stolen credit cards were used at Cloud 9 Smoke & Exotics where surveillance footage was obtained. The still images from the video were posted on social media and a tip identified the male suspect who was charged with access device fraud and receiving stolen property.
May 22nd 2026 – A traffic stop was conducted of a reckless unregistered motor scooter who was being operated by a male wearing a ski mask. The vehicle operator fled from police and abandoned the vehicle then fled on foot. The motor scooter was seized and an investigation is ongoing.
May 23rd 2026 – Officers observed two off road electric motorcycles being operated in the 1000 block of Cherokee Street. The home addresses of the individuals were known to the officers who waited for them to arrive back to the residence. After arriving home, the operators who failed to comply were told to stop. They ran into the fenced in back yard where they were taken into custody. One male operator was charged with fleeing on foot and traffic offenses. The other male operator who possessed 15 THC vaporizers, cash and a cellphone was charged with possessing drugs with the intent to deliver and traffic offenses.
May 27th 2026 – While investigating the surge of thefts from motor vehicles and other property throughout the Borough. The Fountain Hill Police Department identified individuals residing within the 600 block of S. Lynn Street. While speaking with these suspects it was discovered that one was under the supervision of Lehigh County Adult Probation for burglary and had an active arrest warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police for theft, another had an arrest warrant from Lancaster County resulting from an underlying theft offense, and the third suspect also had an active arrest warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police for theft. A search warrant was served on the residence where stolen property was recovered and taken into the possession of the department. Charges pending.
