25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

Today, the Fountain Hill Fire Company pauses to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with the police officers, EMS personnel, military members, and thousands of innocent civilians whose lives were taken that day.

We remember the families who never got to say goodbye.

We remember the first responders who answered the call, many of whom continued to pay the price long after that day.

And we remember the courage, compassion, and unity that brought a nation together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

As firefighters, we understand the meaning behind the words:

Some gave all, so others could keep living.

Their sacrifice is never forgotten.

The Fountain Hill Fire Company was grateful for the opportunity to participate in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church’s 4th Annual Community Day! 🚒❤️

We had an amazing time connecting with our neighbors, meeting members of our community, and enjoying a great day filled with fun, and community spirit.

Events like this remind us why we proudly serve the Fountain Hill community. It’s always a pleasure to step away from the calls and spend time getting to know the people we serve every day.
