This afternoon, Station 34 members responded to a CO alarm at a dwelling. Doors were forced and two animals were rescued.

Courtesy of the Borough’s resident historian, Karol Strelecki: The Hillers who comprised the original Fountain Hill Fire Department housed their horse-drawn pumper in a barn at the east end of School Street near Fiot Street. If their services were requested, one member of the group would be dispatched to Leidy Bachman's stables to arrange for him to bring horses to the barn to pull the pumper to the fire site.

Applicants must be in good physical health, live within five miles of Fountain Hill, and be willing to submit to a criminal background check. There are no application fees. We provide all training and equipment. It’s a great way to meet new people and serve your community performing the rewarding duties of a volunteer firefighter. Per order of the Fire Chief, the Fountain Hill Fire Department is prepared for Santa’s arrival tonight. Milk and cookies have been left out, and the Engine and Truck’s lights have been left on to assist reindeer as they approach the area. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
