This week, we proudly recognize and honor the men and women of law enforcement during 🇺🇸 National Police Week 🇺🇸

Every day, officers across our communities answer the call with courage, professionalism, and dedication. They stand ready during emergencies, protect our neighborhoods, and work side by side with first responders to keep the public safe.

From all of us at Boggy Creek Fire Department, thank you to every law enforcement officer for your sacrifice, service, and commitment to others.

We especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and keep their families and fellow officers in our thoughts and prayers.

Please join us in showing appreciation for the brave officers who serve our communities every day and spend countless hours away from their families to protect us.

We are also proud to have two law enforcement officers on our department who also serve the citizens of Miller County as firefighters, Randy McAdams and Don Rogers!

New to the Miller County staff but not new to dispatch, next up is Tylexia Reynolds! Help us give her a warm welcome!

Tylexia brings a kind spirit, light sense of humor, & Stanley cup full of Red Bull with her to work, & we are so happy to have her join the dispatch team. Everyone who meets her says that she is a joy!

We look forward to getting to know her more as she continues with Miller County, & we also definitely want to know whether her To Be Read stack is as tall as Ashley’s…a competition is in the future, perhaps?

Thank you for joining the team, Tylexia, & thank you for all that you do, today & always!

Whooo goes there? It’s Miller County’s other night owl dispatcher, Ashley London!

With a compassionate heart & a no-nonsense attitude, Ashley is a light in the dark. Known for clear communication & a strong sense of humor, Ashley gets to the point & gets it done while maintaining kindness. On top of dispatching & being a mother, Ashley also volunteers as an MCOEM reserve deputy & is a member of peer support, demonstrating her special soul for others.

A book hoarder & a fantastic storyteller, Ashley flies through novels & keeps everyone around her laughing. She isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind, & she works hard to make sure that others are appreciated.

For all that you do & all that you are, we are so grateful for you today & always, Ashley!

This week, we recognize the calm voices in the chaos—the ones you don’t see, but who are always there when it matters most.

In honor of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we want to thank the dedicated dispatchers who answer the call—day or night. You are the first first responders, providing lifesaving instructions, coordinating crews, and bringing order to the most critical moments.

Your steady voices bring reassurance in fear, clarity in confusion, and help when it’s needed most. Our firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS couldn’t do what they do without you behind the scenes.

From all of us, thank you for your professionalism, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to keeping our communities safe.

Next up for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we have one of Miller County’s night owls, Courtney Gustafson!

When everyone else is headed home for the evening & getting tucked into bed, Courtney is headed into work. A beacon in the night, Courtney offers help to those in need at a time when most others don’t usually answer the phone. She steps up in disasters & personal emergencies to cover dispatch regardless of whether she’s regularly scheduled.

With an outlandish sense of humor, Courtney’s s***k & creative spirit lend themselves to both her work & her hobbies. She loves all things black & Cadillac pink, & she hoards tiny trinkets & treasures, such as enamel pins & “dead things” (we didn’t ask). Courtney always keeps us guessing, & we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Thank you for who you are & what you do, Courtney. We appreciate you now & always.

Kicking off National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2026, our first Miller County dispatcher highlight is none other than last year’s Dispatcher of the Year, Donna Garrett!!

Known for her level head, sharp wit, & intelligence, Donna handles each call with the same calm demeanor, effectively approaching every situation with a steady hand. She loves helping people, whether that’s talking someone through the hardest day of their life or sharing her lunch with someone who forgot theirs.

With her wonderful attention to detail & keen eye, it comes as no surprise that Donna is an avid crafter. A coffee lover as well, Donna has an extensive mug collection, with multiple unique & colorful cups on her shelves. She doesn’t have just any regular old mugs, though; each cup is either a reminder of a special trip or a cherished gift from a loved one.

We are so thankful for you, Donna, today & always. Thank you for being you!
