Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company FCVFC - is a dedicated team of neighbors serving neighbors. We respond to fires and emergencies throughout Foster, RI. Our dept.

operates Engine 3, Tanker 3, and Brush 3, we handle structure fires rural water supply, and wildland incidents across our town The fire company operates an engine, a tanker, and a brush truck for the protection of life and property in the Town of Foster, Rhode Island. We are one of three volunteer fire companies in Foster and cover the central third of the town's area. We are radio dispatched on 1

54.270 MHz as "Station 3". All three stations automatically respond to any structural alarm of fire in town. We currently have 13 active members and are always seeking additional volunteers. Our membership consists of people from a diversity of backgrounds and is open to men and women.

I met a little boy at the Foster Touch a Truck event last year that I attended with the Fire Company.

He told his Mom that I'm a ‘Real Live Foster Fire Dog!’

In honor of him, that's my campaign slogan!

Hello everyone my name is Zeke the Fire Pup!

My favorite thing to do is to hang out at the Fire Station with our incredible volunteers! They are the kindest, and friendliest group of first responders! Did you know that everything they do, they do for free? Even belly rubs!

Ok, enough about them, more about me.

I've been known to pose for pictures next to fire trucks. I think that's how I got my titles of Mascot and Fire Pup.

If I hear sirens 🚨 I howl!

I like to try on bunker gear. It looks pretty good on me, don't you think?

I really enjoy attending all of the Foster Town Events, because I get to meet so many of my neighbors and the best part is making new friends 🧡

What if volunteer firefighters didn’t volunteer in Foster?
In a rural community like ours, volunteer firefighters ARE the fire service.
Without volunteers: • Emergency response times would increase
• House fires could grow larger before help arrives
• Property losses would rise
• Neighboring departments would become overwhelmed
• Residents could face major tax increases to fund paid staffing
When you call 911 in Foster, there’s a very good chance the people responding are your neighbors — leaving dinner tables, jobs, family events, and warm beds to help someone in need.
Volunteer firefighters protect this town because they care deeply about this community.
But departments everywhere are facing declining volunteer numbers.
The reality is simple:
Without volunteers, emergency services become slower, more expensive, and harder to sustain.
🚒 Foster doesn’t just need firefighters.
Foster needs neighbors willing to step up.

🔥 🇺🇸 After the Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony, and our Open House, the Foster Center Volunteer Fire Company gathered for a well‑earned moment of togetherness.
This crew — our first responders and our behind‑the‑scenes Associate Volunteer Members — give so much of themselves to the residents of Foster.
Today was about saying thank you. Thank you for the calls answered, the hours given, the dedication, the compassion, and the unwavering commitment to our town.We shared hotdogs and hamburgers, French fries, salads, chips, watermelon, desserts, and plenty of laughs.
It wasn’t fancy — it was FAMILY.
The kind of family that shows up for Foster every single day.❤️🚒 To our volunteers: you are the heartbeat of Station 3.
Your service matters. Your kindness matters. And Foster is a better, safer, stronger community because of you.
