We’re celebrating Independence Day a little early this year!

Join us on Thursday, July 2 for an evening of hometown fun, including our parade at 5:30 PM and a spectacular fireworks show later that night.

A special thank you to Tony at Premier Pyrotechnics for stepping in and helping make this celebration possible. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The more, the merrier! We’d love to fill the parade route with local businesses, organizations, families, clubs, and community groups. If you’d like to participate, contact the City Office 218-435-1959 or email [email protected] to sign up.

LET'S PLAY! 🔆

The playground is open, and now it's time to celebrate!

Join us for a Park Party & Grand Opening at Berge-Stafford Park on Tuesday, June 16, from 5:30–7:00 PM. We'll gather for a community cookout, family activities, a ribbon cutting, and a chance to recognize the many sponsors, volunteers, donors, and organizations who helped make this project possible.

This playground was built through the support of an incredible community, and we can't wait to celebrate it together.

If you have a Berge-Stafford Park shirt, wear it to the event! We'd love to fill the park with the people who helped bring this project to life.

LET’S PLAY! 🌊⛵️

The playground is officially OPEN! 💚

Seeing Owen and his friends enjoying the new playground is exactly what this project has always been about — creating a place where all kids can play, explore, and belong together.

We still have some finishing touches and dirt work to do around the outside, but the playground is ready. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality for our community. Now it’s time to play! ☀️

A message from Loaves and Fishes Food Shelf in Fosston:

The Fosston food shelf will be open Wednesday, May 20 with extended hours 12:30-6PM.

This is a trial to better serve individuals and families who may be unable to visit during regular hours due to work schedules.
We hope these extended evening hours help make the food shelf more accessible to those in our community.

Tri-Valley has a new bus route connecting Fosston and Bagley every other Thursday. Call city hall to reserve your spot by noon the day before. The route between Fosston and Bagley is $5 each way.
Bus leaves Bagley at 11 (arrives in Fosston at 11:30)
Bus leaves Fosston Hugos at 11:40 (arrives in Bagley at 12)
Bus leaves Bagley at 1:30
Bus arrives and leaves Fosston Hugos to go back to Bagley at 2PM.
Bus arrives at Bagley at 2:30

The Fosston city bus will stay in Fosston and will be available at departure and arrival times to transport around the city. Cost for the Fosston city bus is $1 per stop.

The beautiful Japanese Lilac is our door prize for this year’s tree sale! Stop on out from 3:30-5:30 Friday May 1 and get a tree and sign up for a door prize lilac.

Ps… mom’s love trees! Mother’s Day is just over a week away! 🌳

Limited supplies. We are starting with lots of varieties of apples, plums, pears, maples, hydrangeas, Japanese lilacs, rhubarb, and spruce.

Community Meeting Tonight — 6:00 PM

Tonight at 6:00 PM, the Fosston Area Health Care Taskforce is hosting a community meeting about the state of primary healthcare in the Fosston area at New Journey Church. This meeting will provide an overview of the primary healthcare options available in our area and updates on local efforts.

If heading out in the cold isn’t possible, you can still join us online — the meeting will be live streamed on the City of Fosston Facebook.
(We attempted to have it on YouTube but have determined it won't work for us this time).
