FORTVILLE — Illegal drugs, cash, guns, counterfeit merchandise and more were collected this week as Fortville police and other Central Indiana law enforcement agencies served search warrants at locations around the state, including Hancock County.

Please help us congratulate Sergeant Pruitt on his graduation from the IMPD Leadership Academy.

The academy consists of 160 hours of intensive leadership training designed to develop critical leadership skills and management concepts.

Sgt. Pruitt is our B shift Sergeant assigned to the Patrol Division. He is looking forward to applying the knowledge and skills he gained to his respective assignments and shifts.

Thank you Sergeant Pruitt for dedicating the time and commitment to better yourself and FPD. We are proud of your dedication to professional growth and your commitment to serving the Fortville community.

Talk with your child regularly about:
-Who they interact with online
-What apps and games they use
-What to do if something makes them uncomfortable

Creating an open, judgment-free environment helps children feel safe asking for help when they need it.



The Hamilton County Metro ICAC Task Force is a partnership with the Fishers Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Indiana, Carmel Police Department, Noblesville Police Department, Department of Homeland Security, Westfield Police Department - Indiana, Madison County Sheriff, City of Anderson Police Department, Indiana and the Greenfield Police Department. This task force works closely with the Hamilton and Madison County Prosecutor’s Offices.

Today is the day! Kick off Summer Reading with us from 5-7pm in the parking lot of the library! We will have vehicles from Vernon Township Fire Department, Fortville Police Department, Mccordsville Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff's Department, and a tractor to explore! Along with an inflatable obstacle course, tie dye station, dogs from Bentley's Buddies and Friends, free pizza, and activities inside the library!

Please note the parking lot will be blocked off beginning at 3:30pm. Please park on the ServePro side of the lot or find street parking. See you this evening!
