Jory spent a lot of time this summer cleaning, mowing, cutting trees down, and updating the playground equipment at our City Park. Looks so nice and it’s awesome to see that the kids are enjoying it. Thanks Jory šŸ˜‡

City of Fort Yates Residents

COVID-19 information:

- The virus is known as the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease it causes is called coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

- Please see the link below for Standing Rock Sioux Tribe sanitary recommendations as well as what to do when seeking medical help.

- What residents do now in this moment matters. Data indicates that limiting contact between individuals can slow the spread of the virus, giving healthcare facilities breathing room to prepare for the next phase of the response.

- It has become apparent, the world over, that those communities that responded quickly to ā€œshelter in placeā€ appear to be flattening their infection rate curves.

- Please ensure supplies for others. Buy what you need, but leave some for your neighbors, especially WIC items. Note: the elderly and medically fragile should have someone else doing their shopping for them. Please reach out to those you know to see if they need assistance.

ATTENTION:

PLEASE do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper through the City of Fort Yates sewer system. It is not designed to accommodate them. Other products can VERY quickly clog the system and repairs may not be as timely as we would prefer during this time of emergency. If other products must be used, set aside a dedicated trash can for them.

Thank you
