Standing Rock Indian Health Service Standing Rock Service Unit is part of the Great Plains Area. SRSU includes the Fort Yates Hospital, Emergency Room, Clinic and McLaughlin Health Center.

Standing Rock IHS Service Unit includes the Fort Yates Hospital/Clinic, McLaughlin Health Center, and Satellite Clinics. Fort Yates includes the Fort Yates Hospital (12 bed) Accredited by TJC (The Joint Commission), Emergency Room (4 bay, Level 4 Trauma Level Certified), Outpatient Clinic, Dental Clinic, Optometry Clinic, Behavioral Health Clinic, Dietary and Public Health Nursing. th Center includes the McLaughlin Outpatient Clinic, Dental Clinic, and Public Health Nursing. Appointments for Behavioral Health and Dietary are available at the McLaughlin Clinic also. Fort Yates Hospital Hours of Operation:

We will be starting evening immunizations clinics again this afternoon from 4:30-6:30 PM in Fort Yates. These will be held the 3rd Tuesday for months of June and July 2026.

Starting in August 2026, we will have Immunization clinic every Tuesday evening from 4:30 to 6:30 PM, on the following dates.

• October 13, 20, 27, 2026

Attention all SRSU Dental Patients please call 701-854-8220 for all dental needs. McLaughlin Dental phone numbers are not working at this time due to the clinic renovations. Fort Yates Dental Clinic is where all dental care is available at this time.

The McLaughlin Dental will be closed for the week of May 26-30, 2026.

Beginning Monday, June 1, 2026, dental services for the McLaughlin Dental Clinic will temporarily relocate to the Fort Yates Clinic as the McLaughlin facility undergoes renovations to enhance the patient care environment. Renovations will include flooring replacement and upgrades to the sterilization area, requiring a temporary closure of the McLaughlin dental clinic.

Patients experiencing urgent dental concerns during this transition may seek same-day evaluation through their primary care provider at the either the Fort Yates, McLaughlin Clinic or through the emergency department.

In Honor of Memorial Day, the Standing Rock Service Unit will be having an early closure on Friday, 5/22/2026. Fort Yates and McLaughlin Health Center Outpatient Services will be closed after 12:00 on Friday and there will be no outpatient service on Monday 5/25/2026. As always, Emergency Department and Inpatient Services remain open 24/7. Have a Safe and Enjoyable Memorial Day weekend!
