Had such a great morning in Dallas supporting my ALPFA familia at ALPFA Dallas’ Women of ALPFA event.

It was incredible to be in a room filled with so many powerhouse Latinas who are leading, inspiring, and making an impact in their communities and beyond.

Cris Zertuche Wong delivered an incredible keynote and the conversation with Amanda Moreno-Lake, Aracely Muñoz, and Elizabeth Muñoz was truly phenomenal. So many historias, lessons, and reminders of the power of community.

I’m grateful to be part of this familia and proud of the work ALPFA continues to do to open doors and lift others as we rise.

And… Fort Worth, nuestra hora is coming. 👀

Every year, my family and I make our way to Esperanza’s for breakfast before the start of school. It’s a tradition we’ve kept since elementary and this morning sitting around the table with them, it really hit me that I’m a senior.

How did we get here so fast? Looking back, I know I didn’t get here on my own. There were plenty of moments that challenged me, moments when I questioned myself and moments when I simply had to trust God and keep moving forward. Through it all, He has continued to open doors and put the right people in my life.

And now, somehow, I’m heading into my final year. I’m taking six courses this semester and while I may be absolutely crazy for that, I’m genuinely excited. I’m especially looking forward to Mediation and Urban and Immigration Politics.

More than anything, I’m grateful. Grateful for my family, grateful for every lesson along the way and grateful to God for allowing me to reach this moment.

Senior year, here we go. Go Frogs! 🐸💜

What does Fort Worth need to keep growing—and what should the business community prioritize next?

On August 27, we’re bringing together business owners, community leaders, economic development partners, and state legislators for an evening built around one idea: our economic strategy is stronger when we build it together.

The FWHCC Economic Strategy Forum will move from community voice → data → action.

🤝 YOUR VOICE: We’ll start by hearing directly from the community and gathering feedback through our economic development survey.

📊 THE DATA: Texas 2036 will share The Next Generation of the Texas Miracle, helping us understand the workforce, education, and economic gaps Texas must address to continue growing.

🏛️ WHAT’S NEXT: State Representatives Giovanni Capriglione, Ramon Romero, and Terry Meza will join Brooke Goggans for a bipartisan conversation about the next legislative session and the issues businesses should have on their radar.

And we’ll use what we learn to help inform the FWHCC’s legislative priorities and future economic development work.

If you’re a business owner, employer, community partner, or simply care about the economic future of Fort Worth, this is a room you’ll want to be in.

📅 Thursday, August 27 | 6–8 PM
📍 Printed Threads | Fort Worth

Come with your perspective. Leave with a better understanding of where we’re going—and help us build what comes next.

At the August meeting of the City of Fort Worth Library Advisory Board, I was honored to be elected Vice Chair of the Board by my colleagues! I’ll officially assume the role in October and I’m excited for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

Libraries are where curiosity turns into possibilities and I’m proud to help support the incredible role our libraries play in Fort Worth.

Thank you to Mayor Pro Tem Flores for reappointing me to the Board for another term beginning in October. I’m grateful for your continued trust and confidence.
