Tarrant County College Law Enforcement Academy The Police Academy is the cornerstone of our training program. Classes consist of a combination of classroom and skills training. for a 21-week period.

Where excellence meets the badge. 🎖️ TCC’s Law Enforcement Academy provides top-tier basic training and professional development for the law enforcement community. In operation since 1980, the Tarrant County College Criminal Justice Training Center located on the Northwest Campus is committed to serving the training needs of the law enforcement community. In addition, we offer In-Service Training

programs through Community & Industry Education Services. Our Police Academy, located on Northwest Campus in Fort Worth, prepares a cadet for a career in law enforcement. We run approximately 6 basic academies a year, with classes Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Ready to answer the call? 🚔

We are officially accepting independent applications for the upcoming November Law Enforcement Academy session (Class 235)! If you’ve been waiting for the chance to launch your career in law enforcement without agency sponsorship, your window is open.

Space for independent cadets is limited. To get started, your first step is to fill out the Academy Interest & Initial Screening Form to ensure you meet all TCOLE requirements.

Class 230 recently took their training to the next level by participating in a mock trial based on their SFST scenarios! We are incredibly grateful to Judge Christopher Gregory for hosting our cadets in his JP4 courtroom. A special thank you for going above and beyond by opening the courtroom on Memorial Day to accommodate our schedule.

Judge Gregory has been a long-time supporter of our program, and his mentorship provides our cadets with invaluable real-world experience.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to our adjunct instructors, Kim Martinez and Amy Bryum, for stepping in as prosecutor and defense attorney. Your expertise made for a fantastic learning experience!
