Mary Copeland My name is Mary Copeland, and I am running for Saginaw City Council, Place 6. My husband, Danny, and I have lived in Saginaw for eleven years.

Together, we have five children and eight grandchildren. We enjoy the friendly, relaxed lifestyle that Saginaw offers. If elected, my priorities will be:

Keeping the citizens of Saginaw informed about the issues that come before the city
Making proactive, not reactive, decisions, ensuring positive future growth for Saginaw
Making decisions based on the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens

of Saginaw

My experience in city government is as follows:

Animal Control Board--City of Bedford
Charter Review Commission--City of Bedford
Planning and Zoning Commission--City of Bedford, 14 years

My educational background includes:

Graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Dallas
Student at Texas Tech for three years
Graduate of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and French and a Texas Teaching Certificate for English and French in Secondary School
Completion of twelve hours of post-graduate work toward a Master of Liberal Arts Degree from S.M.U. My work history includes:

English tutor on S.M.U's approved list
Substitute teacher for all grades and subjects in the Allen and Plano I.S.D.'s
Sales Assistant for the Balfour Company
Legal Research Assistant for the Braniff Airways Flight Attendants Union
Market Research Independent Contractor for several management consulting firms
Xerox Corporation employee for fourteen years, including positions as Billing Administrator, Billing Administrator Supervisor, Customer Relations
Coordinator, and Administrative Trainer. I would appreciate your support in the City Council election; together, we will make sure that Saginaw continues to be a city we can be proud of.

This page was created to support my campaign for Saginaw City Council, Place 6. I have 20 years of experience as a volunteer in city government, including: Animal Control Board, Charter Review Commission, and Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Bedford. I believe my experience will enable me to be an effective city council member and would appreciate your vote. Some of my priorities will be: involving citizens, listening to your concerns, strengthening and updating our ordinances, being proactive, and making improvements to our infrastructure. Tues 18th - Fri 21st, 6pm-7pm

Sat 22nd, 10am - 12 pm & 5pm-7pm

Sat 29th, 10am-12pm & 5pm-12pm
