This Labor Day, we celebrate the people who work hard each day to build a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities.

For those on the journey out of homelessness, meaningful employment can be more than a job. It can bring confidence, independence, stability, and hope for what comes next.

Today, we celebrate the dignity of work and the strength of those taking steps toward a brighter future.

Today, all Shelter facilities will be open with regular hours of operation.

Recovery is a journey. And every journey deserves support.

During Recovery Month, we recognize the courage it takes to seek help, take the next step, and keep moving forward.

Through resources and support groups at True Worth Place, people experiencing homelessness can find connection and encouragement as they work toward recovery and greater stability.

Because a journey toward home can also be a journey toward healing.

September is Recovery Month—a time to recognize that recovery is a journey, and no one should have to walk it alone.

At True Worth Place, we are proud to provide a space where people can find connection, encouragement, and support on their path toward recovery.
Join us for:

Tuesdays at 10 a.m. — Al-Anon
Wednesdays at 10 a.m. — Alcoholics Anonymous
Fridays at 10 a.m. — Recovery Resource Council
Saturdays at 12 p.m. — Narcotics Anonymous

Recovery looks different for everyone. But hope, support, and community can make all the difference. 💜

August 24-28 is Supportive Housing Awareness Week. We are happy to be partnering with to welcome members of Congress, as well as City, County, and State officials, to tour one of our Journey Home Housing communities to better understand how supportive housing is changing lives in Tarrant County.

In addition to rental assistance, individuals in supportive housing also receive case management to help address other important needs, such as navigating health care, mental health care, and other issues. At Journey Home Housing, they also benefit from community building, life skills classes, support groups, and lots of group activities.

Thank you to all the staff members and elected officials who are taking the time to get to know this issue better.
