The final physical training event that complete before graduating from Marine is the company motivational run, or moto run, consisting of a three-mile cadence run conducted around Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.

This is also the first time friends and families will see their newly transformed Marines after 13 weeks of and .

During the , liberty bells are rung signifying the four battalions to symbolize the "rite of passage" of recruits becoming Marines. They are sounding off for the whole Depot and announcing that they are .

The toughest battles aren't always visible. 🇺🇸

are trained to overcome , but for Staff Sgt. Jaime Nava, that mindset was put to the test after being diagnosed with stage 2 cancer while serving on duty.

With the support of his fellow Marines, his family, and his , Nava fought through chemotherapy, entered remission, and emerged with an even greater sense of purpose. Today, he's preparing to return for a second tour on recruiting duty, proving that is forged through adversity.

Nava overcame the toughest battle of his life and emerged from it with an even greater appreciation for the uniform he wears and the people he hopes to inspire.

Always Ready. ⛑️⚕️

Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or TCCC, is a three-phase approach to casualty management that is taught during multiple periods of instruction at boot camp.

TCCC teaches the necessary to ensure lifesaving treatment can be rendered in the absence of a corpsman and improve the survivability of those wounded or injured in combat whenever necessary.

Recruits are tested on their ex*****on of TCCC during a final practical application test that is timed and monitored.

For Staff Sgt. Ryan Hill, becoming a was about more than earning the title, it was about carrying forward a legacy that began generations before him.

His grandfather, Sgt. Francis Leroy Hopkins, was one of the original who broke barriers and paved the way for future generations of Marines. Decades later, Hill now serves as a Senior Drill Instructor, passing on the same values of honor, courage, and commitment that shaped his family.

The (MCMAP) teaches and recruits the mental and moral resilience through realistic combative training and physical conditioning.

uses a five-level belt system that advances from basic techniques to , high-level, combat techniques. Each belt requires a specific number of training hours and gets increasingly difficult, preparing Marines for combat by developing physical and mental toughness.

Pushing Limits One Obstacle at a Time! 💪🪖

One of the many challenges face during boot camp is the obstacle course, or O-Course. It is built to test, develop speed, agility, endurance, and mental toughness. The course pushes recruits beyond their limits.

Obstacles include log hurdles, wall climbs, rope ascents, and high bars, all designed to prepare for future demands.
