The Fort Worth Police Athletic League (FWPAL) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 2016 and through donations, works to serve the youth of Fort Worth through athletic programs that are run by community members and police officers. The FWPAL demonstrates local law enforcement’s continued concern for the children in our community by providing leadership and encouragement and instilling

values such as ethics and respect to help our youth succeed and achieve their goals. The mission of the Fort Worth Police Athletic League is to unite the communities of Fort worth with its Police Department by providing youth programs and mentorship that motivates, inspires and develops confidence, trust and respect. The vision of the Fort Worth Police Athletic League is, through athletic programs and community partnerships, to provide guidance and leadership to ensure the safety of our youth, improve their lives, reduce crime and better serve the community by building strong and trusting relationships. The Fort Worth Police Department Board of Directors honored FWPAL board member and Flag Football Commissioner Patrick Brown for his hard work and determination in creating the FWPAL Flag football league that had 325 kids this year!

He is instrumental in the FWPAL and a driving force of our youth involvement and development! In addition we are proud to welcome our newest FWPAL Board Members Treasure Officer Lindsay Meyer, Secretary Officer Danny Espinosa, Eastside Facilitator Officer Eric Canales! Special thanks to Sgt Buck Wheeler who has covered Secretary and Treasure for the past year! In the picture is also

With this Board we are blessed with a common core of individuals who has the desire to be involved with the youth of our communities and provide mentorship that motivates, inspires and develops confidence, trust and respect We have additional board members that were not present for the photo!!

This Saturday ends the 2018 Flag Football League with play-off games representing North-East South-West with 300 plus kids (boys and girls) ages 5-13. The games start at 10:00 am and will be played at O.D. Wyatt High School located at 2400 E. Seminary Drive. The North Division games will start after 1300 hours! Each side of town will compete with the other sides of towns. It has been an amazing two months and we encourage you to come out and support the youth of our City! The Winning Teams will receive trophies that will be proudly displayed in their school with pictures of the youth and officers!

East Fort Worth Pal Gym! 3625 East Berry! Get your work out on and get some boxing skills! Special thanks to Officer Canales and officer Smith school resource officers who work North Crowley High who recruited and transported 6 kids!

Also Detective Scroggin's FWPD Family Violence who transported his son to the gym!Special thanks to FWPD School resource Chain of Command who help promote this program!
