Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as we honor Ms. Jordan for 20 years in education!

For the last 3 years, Ms. Jordan has been a valued member of the Great Hearts Prairie View family, teaching and inspiring our 6th grade History scholars. Prior to joining GHPV, she dedicated 17 years to serving students at James Irwin Charter Middle School in Colorado Springs.

Her passion for history, commitment to scholarship, and dedication to shaping young minds have made a lasting impact on so many scholars over the years. We are truly blessed to have her as part of our community and grateful for the wisdom, care, and excellence she brings each day.

The 5th-grade ESL students enjoyed an exciting field trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards. They had a great time participating in a Historical Walking Tour, exploring the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze, learning about the area’s rich history, and seeing the parade of Texas Longhorn, which was the highlight of the day. Before heading back to school, the students made a quick stop to enjoy lunch together. It was a wonderful way to celebrate their achievements and hard work as they prepare to move on to upper school.

At Great Hearts, our mission is rooted in the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, and in cultivating virtues like humility, courage, responsibility, citizenship and perseverance in our scholars. These are more than just words—they are values we strive to live out every day in our classrooms, our relationships, and our community.

Days like Great Hearts Day of Giving are a powerful reminder of just how special this community is. We see generosity, unity, and a shared commitment to something greater than ourselves. Families coming together to support our teachers reflects the very virtues we hope to instill in our students—selflessness, gratitude, and a desire to invest in others.

Our teachers pour so much into our scholars each and every day long hours, thoughtful lessons, constant encouragement, and a deep commitment to helping every child grow. Their impact goes far beyond the classroom, and today is all about supporting them.

So far, we have 34 donors and have raised $2,475 toward our $25,000 goal—thank you for getting us started strong! We still have a ways to go, and every gift helps us continue to invest in the incredible educators who make our school so special.

Great Hearts Giving Day is tomorrow!

We will come together to support the heart of our school—our incredible teachers. Your generosity helps fund teacher pay, benefits, classroom supplies, and so much more.

Our goal is $25,000, and we are striving for 100% family participation. Every gift truly makes a difference!

As a special thank you, donations of $50 or more will receive a personalized yard sign featuring your scholar’s name. These will be displayed in the carline during the final days of school and then sent home for you to keep.
