This Historic Sinclair Service Station is located in Fort Worth, TX. and was built in 1950 by the Sinclair Refining Company. Restored by Paul Lemon. Here is what he has to say about living his life-long dream of owning his own Sinclair station:
"As a young boy I caught the tail end of an era gone by. While traveling with my grandparents across the Great North West I can remember the "full service
" Sinclair Stations. I would always look forward to see the service attendants come out to fill and service my grandparents Lincoln Town Car. I'd always make a point to speak with the crews and ask the same questions over and over as we traveled across the Rocky Mountains. The memories have stayed with me and now at the age of almost forty four I guess you could say that these experiences have had an impact on my life. As a business owner I and strive to maintain a squeaky clean image and provide the best care and service to our customers. Traits I've always admired about Sinclair. Several years ago I purchased an old run down service station to run one of my businesses out of. After closing the sale I decided to give it a good cleaning. While pressure washing the building several layers of paint (from all of the other business that it had been) began to peel off. Getting down to the final layer of paint the word S I N C L A I R appeared. I couldn’t believe it. My childhood dream to one day have my own Sinclair Service Station had come true. I have painstakingly restored this Station with a lot of sweat equity. I do what I can as I can afford to. It still needs period style garage doors among other things. It is truly a labor of love. I hope you enjoy seeing it as must as I have restoring it."
