Why does our Emergency Communications Center's industry suffer?

I told someone (a Director) I was out on FMLA .. they asked "What is that, do you have cancer?"

Leaders/HR - PLEASE educate your team to understand the Federal law so they can feel safe to take care of themselves without fear of losing their job.

The education is about FMLA. Not a "wambulance" ... that mentality is why many in public safety and the military service don't receive the help they need. This contributes to PTSD, substance abuse, and sadly suicides. Ptsd-911 Movie

Recently we went to a Comm Center/County and showed them how much they could Improve interest, engagement, moral, and retention. This wasn't just 9-1-1 but also PD, FD, and Emergency Management. Do the research ask the experts. NO one knows everything.
