🐾 What’s Happening at Wayside?! 💙

Learning is happening every day for every Wildcat! 🐾📚

🎶 Our elective classes are in full swing—with students learning to read music, sing, and play instruments!

🌟 NJHS held their first meeting as students begin their journey of leadership and service.

🇺🇸 In 8th Grade U.S. History, students are diving into the concept of “Taxation Without Representation” and connecting history to the world around them.

💙 We also kicked off the Education Foundation, supporting opportunities that make a difference for our students and staff.

From academics to the arts to leadership, our Wildcats are learning, growing, and finding their passions every day!

❤️🤍💙Wayside is Honoring the Heroes of 9/11

Thank you Wayside Student Council for spearheading the events and activities to honor and remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Our Wildcats came together to remember, reflect, and make a difference.

Students wrote letters to our local heroes and first responders, and made pledges to do small acts of kindness in honor of 9/11 day. 📝

Students and staff placed flags—each one representing a first responder who lost their life on September 11, 2001. Everyone also received “Never Forget” wristbands as a reminder to carry the spirit of September 11 with us. 👮🏿👩🏻‍🚒🚑

We are so proud of our Wayside Wildcats for showing that we can honor the past by making a positive impact in the present. 🐾💙

Today, EMS ISD joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and honoring the courage and sacrifice of those who responded.

Across every EMS ISD campus, students are learning about the events of that day, their impact on our nation and why understanding this history matters 25 years later. Our schools have an important responsibility to ensure a new generation knows what happened, remembers those we lost and carries forward the lessons of September 11, 2001.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
