Today We Remember: Deputy Billy W. Scheets
End of Watch: June 5, 2022

Today we are remembering Deputy Billy W. Scheets. Deputy Scheets served with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years, beginning his TCSO career in the jail in 2003 and promoting to Deputy in 2006, where he served in the Patrol Division. On the afternoon of June 5, 2022, while at the scene of a call in Northwest Tarrant County, Deputy Scheets passed out and became unresponsive. A second Deputy at the scene began CPR on Deputy Scheets, and he was rushed to a hospital where he later passed away.

Deputy Scheets was known for being level-headed, consistent and dedicated in his work. He is missed by his wife, family and Tarrant County coworkers.

FW COUNCILMEMBER BECK DISRESPECTS FW POLICE
Kudos to FWPD Chief Noakes for firmly standing up for his officers and putting FW Councilmember in her place. "Write down his Name" Councilmember Beck ... it is Sergeant Jon Jenson.

TCSO K-9 UNIT SERVING ON THE STREETS AND INSIDE FACILITIES
The continued investment in our K-9 team provides deputies with the tools to more rapidly locate missing children/persons, capture fleeing suspects, and find illegal narcotics within our Patrol, Warrants and Narcoitcs divisions. In addition, the TCSO K-9s are valuable partners in helping locate contraband inside the detention facilities.

Do you like dogs? We LOVE dogs. We have 4 canines that can sniff out illegal narcotics. They work in the community and in our jails to keep the citizens of Tarrant County safe.

You could say our dogs have their pet-degrees! 😂
