We’re heading to Tulsa next week for the Main Street America National Conference

We will be joining a conversation on what this work actually looks like on the ground—alongside our partners at the City of Fort Worth Economic Development and Poly Main Street.

The Northside has always been a welcoming district—and the work is making sure it continues to welcome both residents and visitors.

Something sweet is happening on the corridor. 📚✨

Our Little Lending Library project is a small but meaningful reminder of what can happen when people come together with care for the Northside, a belief in literacy, and love for community.

This project was made possible through support from the North Texas Community Foundation’s BEACON Fund and through collaboration with incredible partners, Artes de la Rosa Cultural Center for the Arts at the Rose Marine Theater, Northside Inter-Community Agency - NICA, and Literacy United.

Tonight we’re celebrating the launch of our first Little Lending Library on the corridor during NICA’s Leamos Juntos event at 4:30 PM. Come join us, help us mark the moment, and celebrate a project built with collaboration, care, and a real love of reading.

Nuestro proyecto de Little Lending Library es un recordatorio pequeño pero significativo de lo que puede pasar cuando nos juntamos con cariño por el Northside, una creencia en la lectura y amor por la comunidad.

Este proyecto fue posible gracias al apoyo del BEACON Fund de North Texas Community Foundation y a la colaboración de increíbles aliados.

Corridor Cafecito will be at Into the West this month — an easy, come-as-you-are space to check in, share updates, and stay connected to what’s happening along the corridor.

No presentations, just good conversation (and coffee).

Hey Northside 📚

We’ve partnered with ADLR, Literacy United, and NICA to launch three Little Lending Libraries along the corridor.

Not everyone has easy access to books at home—especially bilingual books. These small libraries make it easier to pick something up, pass something along, and keep reading part of everyday life in the neighborhood.

Take a book, leave a book, share something you love.

We’re collecting books now to help stock them—if you’ve got any you’re ready to pass along, we’d love your help filling these shelves.

Nos hemos unido con ADLR, Literacy United y NICA para lanzar tres pequeñas bibliotecas comunitarias a lo largo del corredor.

No todas las familias tienen acceso fácil a libros en casa—especialmente libros bilingües. Estas bibliotecas hacen más fácil encontrar algo para leer, compartirlo y mantener la lectura como parte de la vida diaria.

Toma un libro, deja un libro, comparte algo que te guste.

Estamos recolectando libros para llenarlas—si tienes libros en casa que quieras compartir, nos ayudaría muchísimo.

Thank you to the Fort Worth Report for highlighting the progress of the Main Street pilots in Northside and Polytechnic Heights.

As we enter Years 4 and 5 of the Main Street America pilot, we’re focused on strengthening leadership, supporting small businesses, enhancing the corridor’s visual character, and building long-term sustainability.

We’re grateful to our board, volunteers, Community Action Committee members, small business owners, and partners who continue doing the steady work to celebrate and strengthen the Historic Northside District.

The Fort Worth City Council received updates on our two Main Street Districts: The Poly District and Historic Northside District
