NRC Fort Worth Ombudsman Objective: To provide confidential, overall support for the mission readiness of Navy Reservists of the Fort Worth NOSC The ombudsman works for the CO.

Ombudsmen are volunteers appointed by the commanding officer (CO) to serve as an information link between command leadership and command families. Ombudsmen are trained to disseminate information — official Department of the Navy (DoN) and command information, command-climate issues and local community opportunities. They also provide resource referrals, if needed and are instrumental in resolving family issues before they require the command’s attention. The CO determines the priorities of the program, the roles and relationships of its participants, and the types and levels of support it receives.
