Last week, we participated in an Amish Safety Day and, boy, what a great turnout! We did a hands on fire extinguisher training and demonstration. We were one of many demonstrators, which included Northeast Allen County Fire Protection District, East Central Fire & EMS, Allen County Sheriff's Department, and Parker's Towing.

When was the last time you checked your home fire extinguishers? It's important to regularly check the pressure gauge: Examine where the gauge needle is. A needle within the green zone is good. A needle in the left red zone means that the fire extinguisher is undercharged and needs to be recharged. A needle in the right red zone signals a danger of being overcharged.
