This Labor Day, you're recognized for the hard work you do to support your family and build up Indiana's reputation as an economic crossroads of America. You work hard for the money you make. That's why, as your State Senator, I've been a no-nonsense, fiscal hawk, voting to:

⚖️Add the balanced budget amendment to the IN Constitution
⬇️Reduce our state income tax
💡Eliminate two utility taxes
🛠️Reform the business personal property tax
🏠Reduce property taxes

We have more work to do as we continue making Indiana the most affordable state in the nation and I pledge I'll continue fighting for fiscal common sense.

📬I got quite the surprise when checking the mailbox and finding a letter from President Trump! He knows good things are happening in Indiana - from combating illegal immigration to protecting minors from dangerous transgender surgeries to cutting taxes and making Indiana one of the most tax-friendly states in the Midwest - and I'm honored to be a part of it as your State Senator!

⭐ The Indiana Sheriffs' Association named me their 2026 Senate Legislator of the Year! It was an honor to receive this plaque today. I was proud to work closely with law enforcement for more than a year on Indiana’s FAIRNESS Act to ensure we got this immigration enforcement legislation correct so they could most effectively work with federal and state partners on detainer warrants. We’re proud of the training solution we came up with utilizing the Department of Corrections. Our Sheriffs protect our communities with honor and integrity and I’m proud to work alongside them.

🚔I have consistently backed the blue through my work for Indiana Senate District 15. In 2023, the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police named me their Legislator of the Year. And earlier this year, the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police endorsed my reelection.

🙏 Join me in praying for the families of the victims and all impacted by this horrific flooding. I'm grateful President Trump approved the emergency declaration for Indiana so that federal recovery efforts can move ahead more quickly and aid state, local and neighborhood responses.

Sen. Johnson has my full support for Caucus Chair. I've worked closely with him on policies to protect life, like ending the flow of illegal abortion pills into our state. I know his leadership will advance a strong conservative direction for our state.

Today I sent the following letter to my fellow caucus members asking for their support to be the next Indiana Majority Caucus Chair. I look forward to helping our new leadership team to advance an unapologetically conservative Indiana first agenda.

Honored to be in the "green" again as I fight for Indiana families. I'm also glad to see Indiana Family Institute scored my FAIRNESS Act and Biological Truth bills. The FAIRNESS Act is now law and I will introduce my biological truth bill again next year!

And how long will it be before Mr. Richardson requests to be housed with women? This is Indiana’s most famous transgender inmate. My biological truth bill is desperately needed. The Indiana House held it up last session. I’ll reintroduce it and we will get it PASSED into law in 2027. Men cannot be housed with women in our prisons!

As your State Senator, it's a blessing to fight for common sense laws like SEA 9 and I'm grateful a positive impact is already being felt!

From 21Alive: "Stewart initially refused to attend his sentencing hearing, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office said. But under a new law requiring convicted criminals to be present for victim impact statements, he was ordered to be in the courtroom to hear the impact the crime had on Hall’s family."

The first of two teens charged in an 86-year-old Fort Wayne woman’s shooting death was sentenced Friday.

👏Thank you, voters, for putting your trust in me to continue fighting for Indiana's conservative future! Today my challenger dropped his costly and time-consuming recount before the Indiana Recount Commission was scheduled to meet tomorrow and review challenged ballots. The vote final now reverts to the original May tally. There is vital work to do to reunify the party and rebuild trust in the Allen County Election Board after they were wrongly accused of mistakes and malfunctions.

🐘I pledge I will work tirelessly to win reelection in November, so that I can again be an effective champion of conservative policies at the Statehouse. As we knocked on the doors of 8,300 homes this primary, I was urged to keep fighting for Trump's America First principles. I know there is much more to do to continue making Indiana affordable, safe and a shining red example of a state with conservative policies in practice.

♥️I thank God for the good gift of my children, grandchildren and my husband, Steve, with me every step of this extra-long Primary cycle. I had an incredible campaign team and committed supporters and friends who also tirelessly stood with me, including a dozen grassroots volunteers who helped with the physical recount.
