☀️ Looking for 7 weeks of summer fun for your kids? Check out Summer Activity PODS! ☀️

If you have a child aged 5–12, Fort Wayne's Summer Activity PODS are designed to keep them active, engaged, and safe all summer long! With 16 different themes, there is something for every interest.

Here is what you need to know:
• ⏰ Flexible Schedule: Choose morning or afternoon sessions—or pair them together for a full-day experience! (If they stay all day, just pack a lunch and staff will supervise them between sessions).
• 👕 Perks: Every registration includes an official POD t-shirt!
• 💰 Affordable: Just $80 per session.

⚠️ Don't wait! Spots are strictly limited to 16–18 youth per session, and they fill up fast. The registration deadline is exactly one week before each POD starts.

🎉 What a wonderful time celebrating Linda Falater’s upcoming retirement! We had a blast showering her with love and celebrating all her incredible years of hard work.

A huge thank you to Chris Liechty for taking care of the delicious food and making the celebration extra special! 🥪

📅 Linda’s official last day isn’t until May 29, so there is still plenty of time to stop by, visit, and wish her well on her next chapter!

Things are going incredibly well on the tennis court lately. There’s nothing like that perfect "pop" when you hit the sweet spot!

🇺🇸 What a day at the Community Center! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrated our amazing volunteers with an America 250–themed appreciation event, and it was an absolute blast! From great food to lots of laughter (and plenty of dancing 💃🕺), it was a perfect way to recognize the people who give so much of their time to our community.

A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors—Absolute Angels, Aetna, and Autumn Trace—for helping make today possible, and to Golden Oldies Entertainment for keeping the energy high and everyone on their feet!

We were also proud to recognize some incredible individuals:

🏆 Ray Hunert – Outstanding Commitment to the Community Center Award
🏆 Michael Voiles – Edna Berdleman Award (323.5 volunteer hours in 2025!)

We also honored volunteers celebrating 5 and 10 years of service, along with those who reached 50+, 100+, and 150+ hours of volunteering this year 👏

It was truly a fun and meaningful day here at the Community Center. We are so grateful for each and every volunteer who makes this place so special ❤️

🚶‍♂️🌆 Wednesdays = Walking Adventures! 🌆🚶‍♀️

Every Wednesday, we gather for a fun group walk exploring different parts of downtown Fort Wayne! It’s an awesome way to discover local trails, streets, businesses, artwork, monuments, and all the hidden gems our city has to offer.

Today, we explored the Wells Street corridor and even snapped a group photo 📸
