Rodrick Davis was convicted by jury trial of Domestic Battery resulting in Serious Bodily Injury and Invasion of Privacy. He was sentenced to 6 years on Count 1, enhanced by 6 years because of the habitual offender, resulting in the sentence on Count 1 being 12 years. Davis was sentenced to 2 years and 183 executed on Count 2. The counts run consecutive to each other. This crime occurred within the presence of minors. The survivor's daughter spoke at sentencing about the nightmares because of the violence. Domestic Violence doesn't just affect the person being battered. Children are often secondary victims. This family has some measure of peace now that they can close this chapter.

Christina Simone pled straight-up to two counts of stalking and was sentenced on October 6, 2023. She emailed her victims over 11,000 times despite there being protective orders in place. The contents of these emails were threatening and abhorrent. The plethora of emails caused the victims to fear for their safety as well as that of their children. Simone was sentenced to 4 years on each count of stalking, which will run consecutive. Simone will serve 6 years of that sentence in the Department of Corrections. This case was prosecuted by Rachel Gschwend. Stalking victims feel a sense that they are never safe because they never know what may happen. We hope this sentence gives a measure of peace to the victims.
