Indiana’s plan to expand broadband service through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program has been approved by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA)!

This historic investment of more than $483 million will be Indiana’s largest to date and emphasizes Governor Braun’s commitment to ensuring that all Hoosiers have reliable broadband access. Internet service providers will be investing an additional $384 million to service over 120,000 households and businesses across the state. The IBO expects buildouts to begin in 2026.

Today the IBO announced the results of the 15th round of the Indiana Connectivity Program, awarding $654,676 to expand broadband access across Indiana. Awardees included 156 addresses across 30 counties.

The Indiana Broadband Office opened the BEAD pre-qualification portal on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 9 a.m. EST and it closes on July 21 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
