Highlands Mansion and Gardens The Highlands Mansion and Gardens is a 44-acre historic site with a late 18th century Georgian mansion and two-acre formal garden.

Surrounded by massive stone walls, the gardens offer a beautiful example of early 20th, century estate gardening with an unusual blend of horticulture and architecture. The site features nine outbuildings, including a bank barn, springhouse, greenhouse, smokehouse and Gothic Revival gardener's cottage. The Highlands Historical Society began to restore the 2-acre formal garden to its appearance c.1925 - 1935 in October 2001, with a project at the screening wall on the east side of the garden.

Such a beautiful afternoon in the gardens and beyond the crenellated wall, made even better by the bride and groom's fabulous group of colorfully adorned family and friends.
Lexa did an outstanding job planning this whimsical ceremony and even did her own florals! Rarely do I cry at weddings but this one got me. Lexa and Gabe wrote their own truly touching vows and are now off to celebrate at the Flourtown Country Club.

Sweet Ben's parents were blessed with a beautiful August wedding day. The father of the bride deserves a shout out for all of the decor and florals, not to mention some planning too! The groom's brother gave a very touching best man speech and his godfather did an awesome job officiating.

We started August with a truly unique and perfectly planned wedding. This couple wanted their privacy but were happy to let me share some detail shots from their beautiful day.
They had a Chinese tea ceremony on the north lawn, followed by cocktail hour in the mansion, then a traditional western ceremony, filled by dinner in the gardens and lots of dancing under the willows.
They danced the most epic first dance together and the groomsmen/women surprised the groom with an awesome choreographed dance as well. Some other touching moments included having the bride's pre to cut the cake, as they never had a wedding cake and offering a noodle bar at the end of the night!
