Park visitors took a walk on the “Sally Side” last Saturday, where they learned all about Pennsylvania’s native salamander species and even got a glimpse into the techniques biologists use to monitor these amazing little creatures. 🦎🌿

Girls Volleyball Camp is Monday, June 15 to Thursday, June 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Upper Dublin High School for entering grades 3 to 8 with Coach Paul Choi! This camp focuses on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun, positive and high-energy environment. Learn passing, setting, serving, hitting, footwork and basic team play through age-appropriate drills and small sided games. Register by 5/22 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Twining Valley Park BioBlitz is Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm - become a citizen scientist! Using the iNaturalist app and other resources, spend the morning identifying and recording the varied animal, plant, and insect life at Twining Valley Park. This program is in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Program.

Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. All ages are welcome, but children must attend with an adult.

This American Red Cross course provides current and future babysitters with confidence, competence and life skills. Learn to provide safe and responsible care to children. Practice basics such as diapering, feeding, first aid, safety and problem solving. Please bring a snack, lunch and a water bottle.

We believe that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” What a great way to locate inexpensive clothing, jewelry, furniture, toys, etc. Event is canceled in the event of inclement weather.

Twining Valley Park Info Walk is Friday, June 5 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm! Join UDP&R staff on a guided walking tour of the park. Discuss the history of the property and its transformation into a park; current and proposed amenities; and keys to successful naturalization of the property.

Most of the walking will occur on the macadam trail – 1.5 to 2 miles will be covered at a comfortable pace. Please bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Walk is free but pre-registration is required!
