Investing in research means investing in future successful treatments for all forms of ALS. Your donations and advocacy make it possible for ALS United Mid-Atlantic to support vital research programs that are making progress towards understanding ALS while empowering those living with ALS to be part of important trials and studies.

In June 2026, the board of ALS United Mid-Atlantic approved funding for these promising research projects.

ALS United Mid-Atlantic believes tracking progress across the pipeline matters, which is why we encourage you to share this post.

The ALS pipeline is more than a list of investigational treatments.

Looking across it can show us which biological ideas are gaining attention, how biomarkers such as NFL are beginning to inform trial design, and whether lessons from earlier studies are shaping what comes next.

For people living with ALS, individual treatments and time matter enormously. Watching the broader pipeline helps us understand not only which drugs are moving forward, but whether drug development itself is learning and changing.

We're thrilled to welcome TEAM MARGIT to this year's Philadelphia ALS United Walk community!

As a first-year team, they're already making an incredible impact. With nearly 20 team members and more than $10,000 raised, their dedication and generosity are inspiring.

Every new team strengthens our community and brings us closer to a future without ALS. We're so grateful to have TEAM MARGIT joining us in supporting people living with ALS, their families, and the search for better treatments and a cure.

Please join us in giving TEAM MARGIT a warm welcome! You can support their fundraising efforts or become part of the Philadelphia ALS United Walk community by visiting philadelphiaunitedwalk.org.

Last year, Farmer Joe joined the Philadelphia ALS United Walk as part of Kelly's Heroes. This year, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends, he created his own team: Farmer Joe's Incredible Friends.

Together, they've already raised nearly $4,000, a powerful reminder of what a community can accomplish when it comes together for a cause that matters.

On October 25, Farmer Joe's Incredible Friends will once again walk alongside families, friends, and neighbors at Citizens Bank Park, united to end ALS.

Thank you, Congress, for getting ACT for ALS this far.

Both the House and Senate have passed legislation to reauthorize ACT for ALS, an important bipartisan milestone for the ALS community.

But we’re not done yet. Congress still needs to resolve the remaining differences and send final legislation to the President before the current authorization expires on September 30.

Help us finish the job. Contact your Members of Congress and urge them to reauthorize ACT for ALS before September 30: https://app.oneclickpolitics.com/campaign-page?cid=D9ywLshuaKgGZbKAWUKOI
