The Peach County Board of Commissioners will hold its Work Session on Tuesday, June 2, at 5:00 p.m. at the Board of Commissioners Office, located at 213 Persons Street, Fort Valley, Georgia 31030.

The Regular Meeting will follow the next week on Tuesday, June 9, at 6:00 p.m.

Representatives from Peach County's administrative team attended the Blue Bird School Bus Foundation Spring 2026 Awards Ceremony, where grants were awarded to organizations and programs dedicated to advancing education, health, safety, and youth development throughout Central Georgia. 🍑

Attending on behalf of Peach County Government were Jillian Bowen, County Administrator; Audrey Jernigan, County Clerk; and Wade Yoder, County Commissioner At-Large.

Several organizations serving Peach County and the surrounding region were recognized as grant recipients, including:

Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia
Brave Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center
Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence
Macon RBI
Peach Association for Intellectually Disabled – Kay Center
Peach County Extension 4-H
Peach County High School Technology Program

Please note: All non-essential Peach County offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of the holiday.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today for the opening ceremony celebrating the completion of the Highway 96/341 Railroad Intersection project! 🎉

After years of planning and months of construction, it was wonderful to come together as a community to recognize this major milestone and the collaborative efforts that made it possible.

Peach County extends sincere appreciation to the City of Fort Valley, Peach Regional Chamber of Commerce, C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Norfolk Southern, and the Georgia Department of Transportation for their partnership, dedication, and commitment to seeing this important infrastructure project through to completion.

This project is a true example of what can be accomplished through strong collaboration and a shared vision for improving our community. We are grateful to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to this effort along the way.

Thank you again for helping us celebrate this exciting community achievement!
