OH. MY. GOODNESS. πŸ…πŸ–€πŸ’›

Fort Towson absolutely hit the jackpot with this AMAZING addition to the Tiger Family! Please help us give the BIGGEST Fort Towson welcome to Charles and Jeanne Durrence!

Coach Charles Durrence brings an incredible 23 years of teaching and coaching experience with a long history of success at both the junior high and high school levels in softball and basketball. His accomplishments speak for themselves:

πŸ† 22 Softball District Championships
πŸ† 3 Regional Championships
πŸ† 4 State Tournament Appearances
πŸ† 740 Combined Fastpitch/Slowpitch Wins
πŸ† Multiple Conference & District Coach of the Year Honors
πŸ† 2024 Class 4A All-State Softball Coach

Talk about a WIN for the Fort! πŸ”₯πŸ₯Ž

Joining him is Jeanne Durrence, who will serve as our Junior High and High School Special Education teacher. Jeanne is a Hugo High School graduate with 14 years of teaching experience and a true heart for students. We are so excited to welcome her caring spirit and experience to our campus! πŸ“šβ€οΈ

The Durrence family includes four wonderful children:
⭐ Jalen β€” also a teacher

The entire Durrence family is excited to become part of the Fort Towson family, and we could not be more thrilled to have them here! BIG things are happening at the Fort, and the future is looking brighter every single day!

The Fort just keeps getting stronger! πŸ…πŸ–€πŸ’›

Please help us give a BIG Tiger welcome back to Nichole McAtee! We are beyond excited that Mrs. McAtee is returning home to Fort Towson after a brief time away with Epic. Her love for our students and passion for teaching made the decision easy β€” she knew Fort Towson was where she belonged!

Mrs. McAtee will be teaching High School ELA, and we know our students are going to love having her back in the classroom. There’s just something special about teachers who truly love the Fort and the kids that make this place feel like family.

Welcome home, Mrs. McAtee! πŸ…πŸ“š

πŸ…πŸ–€πŸ’› The Fort just keeps getting stronger!

We are incredibly proud to welcome home one of our very own! Please help us officially welcome 2017 Fort Towson graduate Tristan Beard back to the Fort! πŸŽ‰

For the past 3 years, Tristan has served as an Assistant High School Basketball Coach and Assistant Softball Coach, and now he will be stepping into the role of Head Girls Basketball Coach while continuing as Assistant Softball Coach! πŸ€πŸ₯Ž

There is just something special about seeing Fort Towson alumni come back home to pour into the next generation of Tigers. Tristan understands the pride, tradition, and heart that make Fort Towson so special because he lived it himself.

We are excited for the future of Lady Tiger basketball and softball under his leadership and dedication. Welcome back to the Fort, Coach Beard!

πŸ…πŸ–€πŸ’› The excitement for next year just keeps growing at the Fort! We are beyond thrilled to welcome another amazing new face to the Fort Towson Tiger Family!

Please help us give a BIG Fort Towson welcome to one of our newest faculty members! πŸŽ‰

Valerie Kennedy!!

She will be teaching 4th grade.

Originally from a small rural community south of Ada, Oklahoma, she began her education career in 2005 and brings years of experience, heart, and dedication to the classroom. She holds an Early Childhood degree along with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from East Central University.

Growing up on a cattle ranch and actively participating in FFA while showing animals helped shape her love for small-town values and working with students. ❀️ She has one son who currently lives in Canada, and she says she is β€œvery happy to be joining the Tigers of Fort Towson!”

From one Tiger to another… welcome to the Fort! πŸ…
We can already tell you are going to fit right in with our Tiger Pride, hard work, and family atmosphere.
