It has been over twenty-four hours since the primary election results were finalized. After taking a moment to reflect on the electoral experience, I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to the citizens of Campbell County for actively participating in the voting process. The level of support received, particularly when compared to other races, was genuinely impressive. The substantial margin of victory can be attributed largely to the enthusiastic backing from both citizens and first responders.

This primary campaign underscored three significant points: the ineffectiveness of financial resources in redeeming negative campaign tactics, the importance of thorough research in evaluating and vetting candidates, and the need for reform or stricter enforcement of laws governing candidate eligibility in Kentucky.

Beyond these takeaways, this was a great success, and we will look to capitalize on this momentum come November when everyone, regardless of party affiliation, can participate again. Again, thank you for all the support and everyone who got involved. Your work will not go unrecognized in helping secure this overwhelming victory.

On Tuesday, the voters of this county will decide the future direction of the Coroner's office. The current coroner's experience and credentials have been thoroughly outlined, and the challenger's sketchy history and controversial ways have been exposed.

Despite an unconventional campaign, our first responder agencies and citizens have rallied behind my candidacy, fortifying our relationships and resolve. The support from groups not typically involved in endorsements highlights the importance of this election and the desire for continuity.

Together with my deputies, who are all life long residents with strong local ties will continue to embody the professionalism and dedication that defines our office. Conducting investigations based on evidence and treating the deceased and their families with dignity and respect. We will also maintain strong, respectful relationships with local funeral homes and other businesses we deal with.

So on Tuesday choose Mark Schweitzer to continue as your Campbell County Coroner! Your vote will be greatly appreciated!

It was a pleasure to support the Wilder Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary at Barleycorns Brewhouse in Wilder this evening. Conversations with our first responders are always enlightening, particularly when discussing shared interests. My staff and I greatly appreciate the professionalism exhibited by these individuals when we are called to work together in some of the most difficult situations. Their dedication and commitment to the job is a significant factor in making our cities and county a wonderful place to live.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the County Public Safety Building today was an honor, marking a pivotal moment in the county's growth. This new facility will bring together the Campbell County Police Department, Office of Emergency Management, Campbell County Emergency Dispatch, and the Campbell County Coroner's office, significantly enhancing the county's emergency response.

With its design adhering to and exceeding FEMA's rigorous standards, the building will be resilient in the face of natural disasters.

The project's magnitude and intricacy demonstrate the county's dedication to investing in public safety infrastructure, slated for completion in about two years, thus further enhancing emergency preparedness.

Along with the County Public Safety Building, myself and staff with other elected officials have also been involved in working to merging the State Regional Medical Examiner's Office and State Police Crime Lab into one location at Northern Kentucky University. These pivotal initiatives aim to accelerate death investigations and ensure critical cases are handled locally. Providing the highest level of service to citizens is our goal, and these projects are aligned with that objective.

Outsourcing post-mortem exams to other states, as proposed by the challenger, is not a suitable solution. It fails to serve the citizens and the first responder agencies of Campbell County in a responsible manner. Professionalism, not fanciful ideas, is what's needed for this job, and electing Dr. Mark Schweitzer on May 19th will maintain those nearly three decades of professional standards.
