🐔 Catching Students Doing Something Good! 👏

We are excited to partner with Chick-fil-A to recognize students who go out of their way to do the right thing!

Our School Resource Officers are always watching for students demonstrating kindness, character, and a willingness to help others. When they catch a student doing something good, they can reward that student with a Chick-fil-A card for a FREE Chicken Sandwich!

Recently, while a parent was dropping off their student at Northside High School, their vehicle broke down. Valeria saw what was happening and stepped up without hesitation, helping the parent push the vehicle to a safe location.

SRO Bray had the opportunity to recognize Valeria for her willingness to help someone in need and present her with a Chick-fil-A reward card.

These are the moments we love to see in our schools. Sometimes a simple act of kindness can make a big difference.

🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE – TRAINING EXERCISE 🚨

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 9:30 AM, the Fort Smith Public Schools Police Department will participate in a full-scale emergency response training exercise with the Fort Smith Police Department, fire departments, EMS, emergency management, and hospital personnel.

🚍 The exercise will simulate a mock school bus crash and is designed to strengthen coordination and preparedness during large-scale emergencies.

📍 Location: Fort Smith Baptist Hospital
Affected Areas: Northwest Employee Parking Lot (Corner of G Street & Towson Avenue) and Lexington Avenue (behind the hospital).

Residents may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles and first responders in the area. Please do not be alarmed. This is only a planned training exercise, and there is no danger to the public.
