You are probably aware that the League of River Valley Voters only elected a secretary and treasurer for the 2022-23 LRVV year. We did not find anyone interested in the President and Vice President position.

I met with Treasurer Luanne Weir today. She and I discussed the League future. We are thinking that we will hold on to the $546.73 that is currently in the Regions checking account for one year just in case someone wants to step up and revitalize the organization.

Luanne will not renew the Post Office box. It is easy enough to purchase a new one at any time.

This organization has served the Fort Smith region very well over the years with candidate forums and current event speakers. It is a shame that we have not been able to spark any interest in the next generation. If you decide you are interested or hear of anyone that might be, please contact me or any of the former officers and we will help someone to continue this organization.
