There are moments in EMS that remind us exactly why we chose this calling. Multiple lives have been saved because this young man had the knowledge, skill, compassion, and courage to act when every second mattered.

We are beyond proud of our Paramedic and his ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and provide lifesaving care when it matters most.

Today, our service was honored to attend a recognition ceremony for the role we played in saving the life of a local hero.
This call carried every emotion imaginable. Our team, alongside our public safety partners, came together to save the life of one of our own.
Because of the teamwork of everyone involved that night, an officer’s life was saved.
We could not be more proud of our EMS team and every agency that answered the call.
We are deeply grateful to the Fort Smith Police Department for recognizing our staff.
Fort Smith EMS leadership was also proud to recognize our team by presenting each member involved with a Life Saving Award and the Director’s Coin in recognition of their extraordinary actions that night.

We’re excited to reintroduce one of our own as he returns to Fort Smith EMS!

Please join us in welcoming Trent back to the FSEMS family as a member of our Advanced Response Team, where he will serve as a Field Supervisor.

Trent previously served our community as a paramedic while continuing his education and earning his Registered Nurse license. Most recently, he worked as an Emergency Department nurse, bringing even more knowledge and experience back to our team.

We are incredibly thankful to have Trent return to FSEMS, where he will continue serving our community while mentoring and supporting our crews in the field.

Welcome back, Trent! We’re glad you’re home.
