Echo Battery!

We wish you all the best. Ship-Ops (the process of your Trainee travelling from Fort Sill to their Advanced Individual Training unit) is well underway. You may consider printing out some of these posts that have been useful and putting them in a binder. The information shared in ITW should come in handy as your Trainee moves on to AIT and especially once they get to their first duty station.

Today’s ITW is titled, “Hurry-up and wait”. If you have not heard your Trainee, use the phrase, we are confident you will soon. Before moving on to AIT we wanted to make sure you had perspective regarding schedules and military life. Change is a constant in military life. So, whether it is the return date from a deployment or when your Soldier will receive orders, be prepared for schedules to change and remember Operational Security (never post dates of movement or numbers of Soldiers involved online.)

Good evening Family and Friends of Class 61-22. Family day is finally upon us. We will do a promotion and distinguished graduates ceremony tomorrow morning at 0845. All Trainees will be released to their parents at 0900. I know they can’t wait to see you. They’ve put in a lot of hard work over the past 9 weeks. Follow the blue line on the road and the signs for the Echo Battery, 1-19 family day to reach the correct location for your Trainee.

Echo Battery!

As graduation quickly approaches, thank you for your feedback and for joining us on the journey from civilian to Soldier. There are over 60 different locations that Trainees may ship to for the Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Every unit has a different commander and its own command climate that will determine the frequency of communication on social media. So, do not be surprised if information is not provided daily.

Know that “no news is good news.” Many AIT units allow Trainees more
access to their phones and it is possible you may have more contact with your Trainee. Just like your Trainee, we know you are ready for this next phase of Army Life.
