🔹 Academic Heights
🔹 Old Post Quadrangle
🔹 Geronimo Acres
🔹 6000 Area
🔹 Patriot Estates

Due to reduced water pressure from a main break in the City of Lawton’s system, residents in these areas should boil all water before use to ensure safety.
🔹 How to Safely Boil Water:
✅ Bring water to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute.
✅ Allow boiled water to cool before use.
✅ Use boiled or bottled water for:
• Drinking & cooking
• Food preparation
• Making baby formula
• Brushing teeth
• Ice making
• Wound care & bathing infants.
This advisory will remain in effect until further notice as Fort Sill works with the City of Lawton and American Water Enterprises to restore normal water pressure.
ORIGINAL POST: 🚰 MANDATORY WATER CONSERVATION ORDER – FORT SILL 🚰
Due to repairs to Lawton’s water infrastructure, Fort Sill is experiencing reduced water pressure. A mandatory base-wide water conservation order is now in effect. Customers are asked to temporarily limit water use to essential purposes only.
⚠️ A boil water notice may be issued if conditions require. Fort Sill officials are actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed.
🔹 Water Conservation Guidelines:
✅ Do not water lawns, wash cars, or fill swimming pools.
✅ Avoid using hoses or sprinklers for recreational activities.
✅ Use a broom, not a hose, to clean porches and driveways.
✅ Check faucets and pipes for leaks—small drips can waste 20+ gallons per day.
✅ Run dishwashers and washing machines only when full and necessary.
✅ When washing dishes by hand, fill a second sink with rinse water instead of running the faucet.
✅ Rinse fruits and vegetables in a pan of water instead of under running water.
Fort Sill officials are working with the City of Lawton to bolster water supply to the installation as soon as possible. We will provide updates as the situation develops.
