Key Gate West remains closed while the project team works through a few final adjustments to ensure everything is ready for a safe, reliable reopening.

The dates previously shared were estimates based on the schedule and what we knew at the time.

Key Gate East will remain open while Key Gate West is closed. We’ll share a confirmed reopen date as soon as it’s finalized.

The traffic lights at the Mow-Way Rd. and Sheridan Rd. intersection are currently not working properly. Please treat the intersection as a 4-way stop and use extreme caution when driving through the area.

Due to continued winter weather, Fort Sill will have a delayed start of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.

Facility & Service Status:
• AAFES:
• South Sheridan and North Express open 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
• PX (main food court): Open 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Quarry Hill Troop Store: Open 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Reynolds Army Health Clinic: Emergency services only; all appointments, including dental, are canceled
• DECA: Open
• Child Development Centers & School-Age Centers: Open at 8:30 a.m. (no breakfast service)
• Family Child Care: Open
• Fitness Centers: Open at 9 a.m. Parking lots may not be fully plowed; use caution
• Hunting: Open
• Recycling Facility: Closed until further notice

🚨 Road Conditions Update – as of 5:30 a.m. 🚨

Road conditions across Fort Sill have rapidly deteriorated due to heavy snow, freezing temperatures, and icing. Conditions are extremely hazardous.

Current Status:
• On-post roads: RED
• Primary roads: RED
• Secondary roads: RED
• Bentley Gate & Key Gate East: RED

Secondary roads are especially dangerous due to slick surfaces and snow berms at driveways and parking areas, creating near-zero traction.

Along Bentley access, near-zero visibility and traction have already caused multiple vehicles to lose control. Emergency crews have responded to multiple accidents and have assisted vehicles stuck or in ditches.

🚫 Travel is strongly discouraged. Personnel are urged to stay indoors and allow DPW plow teams to continue clearing roads without interruption.

Crews remain actively plowing primary and secondary roads. Updates will be provided as conditions change. Stay safe.

With winter weather moving in, you may bring out the space heater. While we love seeing our community out and about, we do not want to meet you because of a preventable house fire.

Please keep these space heater safety tips in mind:
• Keep heaters 𝟑 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 from anything flammable
• 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 or on while sleeping
• Plug directly into a 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘁, no extension cords or power strips
• Turn heaters 𝙤𝙛𝙛 before leaving the room
• Keep away from 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘀
