🚨 All Hands On Deck!

Marines of H&S Co. stepped up to the mission, taking charge of operations in the heart of Chicagoland! 🎁

Throughout December, these dedicated Marines worked tirelessly to sort, package, and deliver over 70,000 toys to children across the greater Chicagoland area. 🏙️💪

👏 Big thanks to our active duty and civilian coordinators for helping make this mission a huge success!

Cpl Meier received an award for maintaining the highest PFT/CFT in the battalion.

The Marines continue to learn and train, working on their combat skills and mindsets. Marines have been in the forefront of every American war since the founding of the Corps. They have carried out over 300 landings on foreign shores. They have served everywhere, from the poles to the tropics. Their record of readiness reflects pride, responsibility and challenge.

Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps!

Help us congratulate Lieutenant Colonel Mabon.

Saying this promotion is well-deserved is an understatement. From his enlistment on October 12th, 1999, to his commissioning and eventual promotion to Lieutenant Colonel, his dedication and achievements speak volumes.

His service spans numerous significant roles, including deployments in support of Operation Iraq Freedom, commanding various vital units such as Echo Company, Fox Company, H&S Company, and more. Notably, his contributions extended beyond borders, with deployments to the Republic of Georgia and Afghanistan, showcasing his commitment to duty and leadership.

🎁 Stuff The Truck! Toys for Tots' event! 🚛

Today, 2d Battalion 24th Marines teamed up with Abc 7 Chicago News , Niles West High School, Niles Fire Department, Santa, and even the Grinch to spread joy and collect toy donations for kids!

🎄 It was incredible to witness the community coming together! For 76 years, the Marine Corps has been running the Toys for Tots program, making the holidays brighter for children in need.

🌟 A massive thank you to everyone who showed their support and generosity by donating toys! Your kindness will bring countless smiles this holiday season! 🎅🤶
