Thank you to the Canajoharie-Fort Plain Garden club for donating this lovely Wardian case (that's an early type of terrarium!) to the library--and thank you to the library's own Sam, for crafting a critter to inhabit it 🦎(While he may appear very lifelike, we promise he will not respond to taps on the glass.)

Our friends at the Canajoharie Library are hosting a Hobbit-themed party this Saturday, with activities for kids and adults! We think it would be the perfect way to unwind after spending that morning at our book sale 😉 Check out their post below for all the details!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our book discussion this afternoon! For October's discussion, we'll be reading "Master Slave Husband Wife" by Ilyon Woo. Named by best book of 2023 by the New York Times, it tells the true story of Ellen and William Craft, who escaped from slavery by disguising Ellen as a wealthy, disabled White man, with William posing as “his” slave. Pick up your copy of the book at the library today, and let us know what you thought about when we meet for the discussion at 2 pm on October 9th!

Have you ever worried that this situation will happen to you? Fear not: our library is fine free, meaning that we do not charge late fees for overdue items! You can return those books that have been kicking around under your bed for the past six months stress-free 😉

Returning on September 29th: it's Camera Club! This group for photographers of all skill levels will once again be meeting from 6-8 pm on the final Tuesday of each month. Show off your photos, learns some new skills, and connect with your fellow photographers!

Please note: we will not be hosting our usual Story Time this Tuesday, September 8th. Story Time will instead return on September 15th (and every subsequent Tuesday) at 11 am! All toddlers and preschoolers (and their parents) are welcome to attend this program, featuring stories, songs, and simple crafts!
