This gorgeous girl is ready for a home where she can finally be someone’s baby. ❤️ She deserves the comfy bed, the car rides, the treats, the adventures, and most importantly — a family of her own.

Today is National Dog Day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by shining a spotlight on the incredible dogs waiting for their chance at a forever home at the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center! ❤️

We currently have so many amazing dogs—big dogs, small dogs, goofy dogs, couch potatoes, adventure buddies, and professional treat testers. 🐕 Every single one of them is waiting for the same thing: someone to choose them.

National Dog Day isn’t just about celebrating the dogs already curled up on our couches. It’s also about remembering the ones still waiting behind shelter doors.

🐾 DO YOU KNOW MY MOM OR DAD? PLEASE SHARE! 🐾

This sweet girl was hit by a car and rushed to an emergency veterinarian for treatment. She was released back into our care yesterday, but she is frightened, confused, and clearly missing her family terribly.

We desperately want to reunite her with the people she knows and loves. If you recognize her or know where she belongs, please contact the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center.

Proof of ownership will be required.

Look at those beautiful eyes! 🐾💕

Our sweet girl’s eye has officially healed, and what a difference! From the condition she was in when she first came through our doors to where she is today, her before-and-after photos say it all.

A little medical care, time, and a whole lot of love can make an incredible difference. ❤️ We’re so happy to see this beautiful girl feeling better and looking brighter every day!

Medical care is only part of the journey. The love, comfort, and one-on-one attention these animals receive can make all the difference.

We are always looking for fosters and volunteers who want to be part of this journey. Whether it’s opening your home to an animal in need or giving a few hours of your time, every helping hand matters.

It truly takes a community to help the animals in our community. 🐶🐱❤️ Together, we can give more animals the second chance they deserve.

🎉 Another happily ever after! 🩷

Athena, our beautiful girl with the perfect heart-shaped birthmark, has officially found her forever home! Watching long-term shelter pets finally get the happy ending they deserve is one of the greatest joys of what we do.

Athena is officially our fourth long-term resident adopted this year, and we couldn’t be more excited for her new beginning. Every adoption like this gives us hope and reminds us why we never stop believing in our animals.

Congratulations, Athena! We know your family is going to love you as much as we do. ❤️🏡

Behind every wagging tail and every second chance is a team that truly cares. ❤️🐾

This sweet little girl is Blossom, a 4-month-old puppy who came to us with a severe eye injury that resulted in an eye prolapse, meaning the eye had come out of its socket. Thanks to prompt veterinary care, Blossom is now recovering beautifully.

Medical care is only part of the healing process.

Every animal that walks through our doors receives more than food, shelter, and treatment—they receive love. Our staff spends time cuddling, comforting, socializing, and reassuring each pet while they wait for their forever family. Those quiet moments of kindness help frightened animals learn to trust again and remind them that they are safe.

Blossom is just one of the many lives our dedicated team pours their hearts into every single day. We couldn’t be prouder of the compassion, patience, and love they show to every animal in our care.

Because at the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center, we don’t just care for animals—we love them. ❤️🐶🐱
