On March 24, 2026, at approximately 1100 hours, the Dogtown Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire within our coverage area.
Dogtown Fire Department had 8 members respond, which is a phenomenal daytime turnout for our department. Notably, three of our members left their full-time jobs to answer the call and help ensure the safety and protection of those affected. Their dedication reflects the strong commitment our volunteers have to this community.
We were also assisted by an outstanding mutual aid response from Fort Payne, Tuckers Chapel, Adamsburg, and Collinsville Fire Departments. Together, a total of 26 personnel and 7 apparatus worked collaboratively to bring the incident under control.
We are pleased to report that there were no injuries, and the fire was successfully extinguished quickly.
Dogtown Volunteer Fire Department extends our sincere appreciation to all responding firefighters and mutual aid departments for their professionalism, teamwork, and rapid response. Incidents like this highlight the importance of strong partnerships and unified efforts in protecting our communities.
