This long weekend didnโ€™t stop us from kicking off the week with a Council meeting!

In this meeting we had plenty to recognize!

Kevin Anderson, City of Fort Myers Mayor proclaimed September 15โ€“October 15, 2026, as Hispanic Heritage Month.

September 14โ€“18, 2026, will be recognized for celebrating Floridaโ€™s Inaugural Redevelopment Week as we recognize the importance of developing our city for all who live and visit the City of Fort Myers.

September 2026 was proclaimed National Preparedness Month by Mayor Anderson because we want you and your family to stay safe and ready!

September 17, 2026, was proclaimed Constitution Day, a day to recognize the importance of our Constitution and the rights and freedoms it protects.

And we never forget September 11. Council proclaimed September 11, 2026, as Patriot Day, where we remember all whose lives were lost and those who have served our country, including our first responders who keep our city safe.

Another City Council meeting in the books!
