Happy Flag Day from Lee County Supervisor of Elections Jenna Persons-Mulicka and the Lee County Elections team!

Today, we honor our nation's flag, a powerful symbol of freedom, justice, and unity.

On this significant day in 1777, the delegates of the Second Continental Congress adopted a resolution declaring that "the Flag of the thirteen United States shall be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white" and "that the Union be thirteen stars, white on a blue field, representing a new constellation."

As we celebrate Flag Day, may we be reminded of the bravery of those who fought for our freedoms and the unity that defines our nation.

Throwback to one of the last SGA elections our Community Education Services team carried out before the end of the school year!

We always look forward to these events, which provide our youth with firsthand experience with voting equipment and highlight the importance of being actively involved in the electoral process.

D-Day, June 6, 1944.
On this day, Allied forces courageously stormed the beaches of Normandy during WWII. Today, we reflect on this pivotal moment and honor the heroes whose sacrifice and determination helped shape the course of history.

“You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hope and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.”

- Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower

It was a great week at the 2026 Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) summer conference!

Supervisors and elections office staff heard from various guest speakers, including Secretary of State Cord Byrd and Division of Elections Director Maria Matthews.

The event also served as Supervisor Persons-Mulicka's welcome into the statewide association and an opportunity to connect with her fellow Supervisors of Elections.

We return from the conference with valuable takeaways and a continued focus on enhancing elections at every level for Lee County voters!

Supervisor Persons-Mulicka and staff are attending the annual Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) Summer Conference in Orlando this week!

The annual conference, organized by the FSE professional membership organization, is an opportunity for election professionals from across the state to collaborate, share best practices, and discuss key topics on election administration ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Several of our team members also recently completed the FSE election certification program and were awarded the Master Florida Certified Election Professional (MFCEP) designation. We're proud of our team for their commitment to providing superior election services to the voters of Lee County through continued election education!
