50 years of leadership, mentorship, and pure inspiration! 🏀✨
As we continue celebrating the monumental milestones from our inaugural Legacy Awards, we are incredibly honored to spotlight a true legend in The School District of Lee County: Aubrey Daniels!
Currently serving as the Athletics and Activities Director at Dunbar High School, Mr. Daniels is celebrating an incredible 50 YEARS of service.
Talk about a sweeping impact! Over the last five decades, Mr. Daniels has worn almost every hat imaginable, including teacher, assistant principal, acting principal, and mentor. His remarkable career has touched nearly every corner of our district, leaving a lasting legacy at Fort Myers High, Riverdale High, Dunbar Middle, Michigan Elementary, Cypress Lake Middle, Bonita Elementary, the Alternative Learning Center, Lee Middle, and finally, Dunbar High.
Known for his deep humility and passion, he has spent his life proving that "educators touch the future." His influence runs so deep that a former student—who is now a military colonel—recently reached out to thank Mr. Daniels for the life-changing lessons on accountability and positive thinking he learned from him way back in middle school!
Dunbar High Principal Carl Burnside describes him as hardworking, loyal, and deeply committed, with a unique ability to challenge students while showing them ultimate compassion.
