Gulf Coast Family Foster Care Licensing & Placements of SW Florida There are hundreds of reasons to become a foster parent, each with their own personality, challenges and rewards.

Our agency needs all types of foster parents from a variety of backgrounds to meet the needs of the children and youth of SW FLorida. We are a non-Profit foster care agency linking with the community to provide support to foster parents, adoptive parents and children.We are proud partners with Children's Network of SW Florida, Department of Children and Families, and Jewish Family services of Napl

es. Our services include recruiting, training, and licensing of foster homes. In addition, we support those homes with respite care, mentoring, continuing education classes and other services as needed. Foster parents provide a temporary, safe home for children in crisis. They are part of the child's support, treatment, and care programs. They are partners of the child's social worker, attorney, teachers, and doctors. Being a foster parent is not a passive act of opening one's home and providing food, clothing, and shelter. It is a proactive statement of nurturing, advocacy, and love.
