Dear Fellow Lions,
We are all praying that your family and friends made it through the storm safely.
The Disaster Relief team and Zone Chairs of MD 35 are asking for your help collecting any donations/food/cleaning supplies for those who have suffered damage from Hurricane Idalia in District 35 L, I & O. The hurricane came through on August 29th and 30th, 2023 with a direct impact on the Big Bend area of Florida and most of the West Coast of Florida has been damaged in one way or another.
The items you collect or put together should be brought to your local Lions Club and on a TBD later date we will coordinate pick-up and drop-off locations. Unfortunately, this is not our first storm however, it will take a little bit of time to get everything together. Our goal is to get as many supplies out to as many as we can as fast as we can!
Watch for more details or contact your local Lions Club for more information.
If you would like to make a monetary donation you may make your check out to the District you would like the funds to go to.
*IMPORTANT In the memo please write -
Disaster Relief District 35-L and mail to: 3685 Ariel Ct, Jacksonville, FL 32277
Disaster Relief District 35-I and mail to: 125 Tortoise Rd, Sebring, FL 33876
Disaster Relief District 35-O and mail to: 9069 Highpoint Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613
This will ensure your check goes into the correct fund.
100% of all funds donated will go to the affected areas of Hurricane Idalia. Donated goods will go directly to the people suffering as well.
Attached is a list of goods needed to get them started on the road to recovery.
